Students select a material or chemical process—such as polymers, metals, or natural products—and explore how it is produced, used and recycled. They learn to evaluate real scientific information, consider sustainability factors such as green chemistry and the circular economy, and communicate their understanding clearly through a structured research task.
This investigation helps students develop essential research, analysis and communication skills that build confidence for later VCE studies and future STEM pathways.
